11 hottest homeware finds spotted at Salone del Mobile Milano 2024: daring furniture designs from Gucci, Versace and Armani, plus conversation-starting accessories from Loewe and Fendi
The world’s largest such fair, the annual Salone del Mobile Milano (or Milan Furniture Fair) started more than 60 years ago to showcase the best in Italian design, but today attracts brands and designers from around the world.
Here’s Style picks of 11 of the hottest finds from this year’s first, which just wrapped in the Italian style capital.
1. Aquazzura Casa
Florence-based footwear and accessories brand Aquazzura first forayed into homeware in 2022, and has now launched its newest tableware collection, entitled Riviera. Impeccably crafted and chic, the plates are encircled with a woven bow design, with three variations to choose from. It’s available in two bold colourways: coral red and green-blue.
2. La DoubleJ
Milanese fashion and lifestyle brand La DoubleJ was founded by American-born former journalist J.J. Martin. The maison specialises in richly hued and vintage-inspired styles. For instance, these patterned linen napkins, inspired by the sciura (the city’s elegantly dressed older ladies) will add a touch of whimsy to any dining table.
3. Dolce & Gabbana Casa
Looking for lavish tableware? Then Dolce & Gabbana Casa should be on your wish list this season. The whole range are embellished with intricate verde majolica inspired by the coastal landscapes of Southern Italy. We love the refreshing white and green palette.
4. Versace Home
One of the stand-out offerings from the Versace Home collection is the Medusa ‘95 Conversation Sofa, a contemporary reinterpretation of a pattern that originally appeared in the spring/summer 1995 fashion collection. In the shape of a large bed detailed with leather trim, armrests and cushions, it sounds like the ideal spot to catch some ZZZs if you get caught in a dull conversation.
5. Armani Casa
Named Echi dal Mondo (translating as “Echoes from the World”) the latest Armani Casa collection revolves around five of designer Giorgio Armani’s most inspiring travel destinations: Europe, Japan, China, Arabia and Morocco. Highlights include a curved sofa, an upholstered screen with delicate plant embroidery and decorative cushions featuring depictions of Armani’s own panther statues.
6. Fendi Casa
Fashion lovers will be most excited about Fendi Casa’s home accessories line, which has been designed under the artistic direction of Silvia Venturini Fendi – a third generation member of the historic family. The series comprises everything from cosy textiles to elegant tableware featuring the FF and O’lock logos.
7. Missoni Home
Setting out to make a splash in Milan, Missoni teamed up with Italian outdoor furniture company Roda, a collaboration that resulted in pieces including the Orson lounger. The statement piece is adorned with bold stripes and Missoni’s signature zigzags in sun-kissed hues of orange and beige.
8. Bottega Veneta
Cassina and Fondation Le Corbusier were tapped by Bottega Veneta’s talented creative director Matthieu Blazy to help produce this striking masterpiece: Hommage à Le Corbusier LC14 Tabouret Cabanon. Made from chestnut wood, the stool features the house’s instantly recognisable Intrecciato weave in hand-brushed leather. There are 60 leather and 100 wooden editions available for those who are interested in purchasing this one-of-a-kind decor item.
9. Loewe
Brand-of-the-moment Loewe has commissioned 24 internationally acclaimed artists – each one with an established connection with the Spanish luxury house – to create a series of spectacular lamps – whether floor-standing, table or suspended. Among them are a hanging lamp of bunched bowls by Belgian artist Ann Van Hoey and a self-standing model of ceramic, bronze and glass by South African creative Zizipho Poswa.

To coincide with the 100th anniversary of its founding, Loro Piana Interiors decided to honour the late designer and architect Cini Boeri who would have turned 100 this year, too. The collection showcased some of her most popular pieces, dressed in the maison’s plush fabrics. Don’t miss out on these limited edition Botolo chairs, fitted with wheels for easier relocation.
